Inside the ranks of the Bone Men cult, Kit Mosel and Penny Oliver are on a path from which they cannot stray. Six Oaths of initiation lie ahead, including a potentially lethal dose of poison.
But a plan is taking shape as Kit uncovers information that may advance his efforts to overthrow the cult. Doing so requires facing down Penny’s older brother, who seems determined to block their every advance.
When tragedy befalls the other recruits, Kit and Penny must bear witness to a gruesome ceremony and consider if going forward is worth losing each other, or worse, their own souls.
