After escaping the clutches of a murderous cult, Kit Mosel has carved out a quiet, peaceful life for himself. He believes he is free of the ghosts of his past until his path collides with Penwell Oliver, a young farmer desperate to retrieve his father’s stolen remains from the very group Kit fled.
No longer able to hide or deny the suffering he caused during his time with the cult, Kit decides to make amends. To do so requires them to work together to infiltrate the cult’s ranks and gain their trust.
Once inside the cult’s secluded encampment, surprises abound. While Kit reconnects with an old ally, his mission is complicated by the presence of the unassuming farm boy, who has enemies in high places within the cult’s ranks.
